Alexa rates John's site as #43,681 and yours as #347,487 (as of the time I write this). As someone who has been thinking about blogging to create a secondary source of income, thank you for letting me know about John's blog!! I think I can learn a lot from it.

Thanks for the wealth of information that you post! Do you ever sleep? I'm going to check out Woopra.com after this comment. I really like your "Catagories" links. I would like to add that feature to my blog, but have no clue how to. I could only e-mail when I first started it in April of this year. Learning what HTML was, was like a moment of enlightenment. The rest has been a mixture of BloggerBuster, trial and error (lots of the latter), and serendipity. I'll be back.

Bottom line is that it's an option of the game, there is nothing that guarantees that it WILL give you favor points...there was a button that said "missing favor points" I used it...you also didn't HAVE TO pay for favor points...that to was an option of the user. There was a "free" tab used to complete free surveys to get a certain amount of favor points. Although the original post sounds very professional and demanding the person neglected to weigh all the avenues of approach, or defense that Myspace could use. Although it's not right, it is the responsibility of the user...that means YOU to be careful of what you buy on the internet. If you paid money, then, I believe, in my opinion you should go through the necessary channels to try and get the problem fixed, if not already done so. If you didn't pay then "fuhgettaboutit"

i have paid money for favor points but to any survey, i actually used a known good site such as blockbuster where i know my money is being used for something. im actually gunna watch the movies tommorow when i get them. i am a " crack feen" for mobsters they need to bring it back!!!!

its not that big of a deal just completely remove the favor point offers and such. you can easily track who paid money for the points such as myself and refund the money spent and to the others that completed surveys and such all you need to do is have them vote if they want the game back to accept something saying they don't want the favor points in return for the surveys completed. the game is one of the best on myspace and many people will be upset if it doesn't get back up soon.

Evidence shows that the application "Mobsters" is not down for maintenance but has in fact been suspended by MySpace. The evidence which I am referring to is the statement on your page that says the following “Mobsters has been temporarily suspended by MySpace” No explanation has been given. In a telephone call placed to MySpace corporate office (310-969-7400) at 4:28 PST no explanation or form of recourse was given.

Because the ability to exchange USD (via “Favor Points”) was offered for an enhanced level of game play, the guarantee of the continued usage of the game (for a reasonable time) is by default inherently granted by the game’s operators and facilitators (you, MySpace, etc). Anything less can easily be interpreted as fraud.

If the application you created is in violation of MySpace’s rules, regulations, or criteria then you can not only be brought to court with civil charges demanding the immediate reimbursement of funds to participants plus legal fees, but also you could suffer punitive damages. Due to the sheer number of participants who exchanged US Dollars for “Favor Points”, the claims would inevitably be consolidated into a class action lawsuit against you. Additionally, criminal charges can be filed.

Furthermore, if MySpace allowed your application to operate in violation of it’s policies (purposefully, or through its own incompetence) on as large of a scale as it did while allowing you to collect monetary compensation from it’s users then MySpace could also be held liable and can potentially suffer the ramifications of a very public class-action lawsuit aimed at punitive damages against MySpace or its parent company News Corp.

An explanation of the situation and a status update within 24 hours is highly recommended. Furthermore, if the “Mobsters” application is going to be offline indefinitely then the immediate return of all funds must be given to each individual user without request, otherwise the above legal scenario could easily become a reality.
