A 16-year old student of a Japanese private school hung herself on Thursday in a province of japan after writing a suicide note indicating insults left on her personal blog resulted in her hanging herself.
The city's fire department received an emergency call around 7 a.m. Thursday from her family, and the first-year student's death was confirmed later at a hospital in the city.
Children's advocates in Japan are encouraging parents to pay closer attention to their children who use the Internet for blogging and social networking sites.

I'm wondering if the young girl had self-esteem issues, or if the remarks left were really that horrible. Either way, it's never pretty to read about suicides.
Yes, I agree with you! It's very indeed depressing. Well since then Japan has already numerous numbers of suicides that occurs mostly to teenagers.so frustrating.
There was a suicide here a year or so ago by a young girl. She had been speaking with a boy her age online, and he acted as if he really liked her... they were "dating." After a bit, he said some nasty things to her and "broke up" with her. It turned out, the boy was actually the parents of another teenager down the street. They were trying to find out if this girl was speaking badly about their child. They ended up upsetting the girl so much, she hung herself.
This is a shocking news indeed. Have been hearing quite a few such stories and I feel that it's a sad trend that's happening in the teen blogging world. Teenagers are more likely to feel discouraged and isolated by the bad comments left by their peers about them, and they have no other avenues to turn to. Hence, the sad incidences.
