EntreCard.com Rip Off

Recently we paid the $75 fee to advertise on the EntreCard.com official blog. The owner of EntreCard (which claims to be a corporation but no record could be found) Mr. Graham Langdon asked me to send him more money after our advertisement had already been up on EntreCard's blog for a week.

I replied to his e-mail and advised him that payment was already sent and provided him with a PayPal transaction ID. A few hours later I received an E-mail from Paypal indicating that the EntreCard Paypal account was under review due to unusual activity and that if I had not received services or products I had paid for that I should go to the security center and dispute such items.

I e-mailed Mr. Langdon and advised him as to such and once I informed him what Paypal had said he has went silent and does not respond to e-mail. Thus far him or his other administrators have failed to reply to forum threads on their own forums.

Because of this incident which has left a sour taste in my mouth I strongly suggest all EntreCard users not purchase any EntreCard Credits or purchase Ad Space until Mr. Langdon officially responds in a public area on his site such as his blog as to what is really going on.

Further, I also would like to note that I asked Mr. Langdon to provide information as to what state EntreCard is a registered corporation in and where it maintains its offices and also did not reply to that request either.

EntreCard is the only site claiming to be a corporation that I have experience such lack of professionalism.

Does this sound professional to you? I strongly suggest sticking to BlogCatalog.com when it comes to promotion of your blog.

Please note that at the time of publishing this post EntreCard staff had not replied to e-mail after 48 hours straight.

FYI, it took me all of about 60 seconds to find a record in the Massachusetts Business Entity Database for Entrecard.Com, Inc., a foreign corporation (Delaware.) Also, it seems to me that the only real problem with your ad is that when Entrecard dumped Project Wonderful it decided to go with a bank of 6 125x125 ads across the entire site, the Blog page included, and the new ad block took the place of the ad block where your ad was running. You apparently paid $75 to run a 125x125 ad on just the Blog page and Graham asked you for additional funds to cover the cost of running your ad on the rest of the site. Nothing sinister so far, although if your facts are accurate I would think that you should still have an ad running on the Blog page. Hopefully Graham will drop by and clear things up.

As for me, I have used paypal to transact business with Entrecard and have been very satisfied with the results.

1.) You paid with a credit card that was either stolen or fraudulent. Why would paypal hold the money from Entrecard if you hadn't disputed that you received it?

The ad went up as soon as you purchased it, and then went down when Paypal reversed the transaction.

Just like they reversed the last 5 transactions you completed. That's not because we didn't give you the credits, that's because your card is no good.

Credit card fraud is actually a felony.

And Entrecard is incorporated in the state of Delaware.

One question, why you have Entrecard ad running on other widgets but failed to install your own widget in your site? I can't see your widget here in your site.

I have read a lot of blether from other bloggers about that and for blog hoppers/droppers and reader likes me, it is so disappointing.

Thank GOD, I am not only here to drop. I read also.

Graham closed your forum post and stated that you were committing fraud. I'm anxiously awaiting to see how this all plays out. I'm not too sure I believe Graham though. Entrecard is losing a lot of credibility lately.

In response to the comment by EntreCard (Graham Langdon) I will say this:

I advertise on over 20 other sites and use Paypal on Ebay and dozens of sites and all of sudden when I do business with you I have issues.

No fraud has occurred.... In fact I am more than willing to post screenshots on Flickr showing my accounts all in good standing.

Users (top bloggers on your site) contacted me saying you pull this stuff alot and I have been sent two different links that are forum sites dedicated to exposing you for this very thing you have done.

You prevent people from complaining and do not reply to e-mail.... who is trying to hide the truth?

I dare you to do transparent open dialogue.... I know you wont because you dont want the users of Entrecard.com to know the truth about your business practices.

Anyone who wants screenshots and proof that EntreCard (Graham Langdon) rips people off can use my contact form... Ill send you links to forums of other people accusing him of the same thing and screenshots.

I posted your comment because I know people have already lost trust in your integrity long ago.

You don't seem to understand. Paypal is holding the money. We haven't received your payment yet.

There is is for everyone to see. Payment held. Awaiting YOUR response. Your ad will not go up until we receive the money from you. End of story.

The only reason I've ever seen Paypal hold payments like this is when payment is no good. We make plenty of sales every day. Why would they hold not only one of yours, but ALL of yours (See pic) and NONE of anyone else's?

Maybe you typed the card number in wrong or something.

    Graham,

This again is in response to your latest comment.

    1. I have no reason to rip you off I would give you my address and cell # in a second. I have done nothing wrong here and am more than willing to work this out with you one on one its just you stopped responding to my e-mails.

    2. I have posted a screenshot from Paypal here
    http://superficialgallery.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?p=23194#23194

Showing that Paypal has not given me any opportunity to respond at all. It doesnt tell me to respond.... I am sure you have had issues with fraud before but this is not the case here at all.

    3. I didnt wanna take this out on the forums or public but again your didnt respond to my e-mails so I felt I had no other choice.

I have no idea why they held the transaction but I would like the opportunity to prove this is some issue on Paypals side or is simply some anomaly. My bank shows all transactions and secondly I use Instant Transfer when I pay with paypal from my checking account.

So why did you start complaining in the forums like a little bitch instead of being professional about it and contacting the supplier directly?
