U.S. Marshals are on a manhunt for Samuel Israel who lead the Bayou Group hedge fund who was found guilty by a federal court of defrauding investors.

Mr. Israel pleaded for leniency and was ordered to self surrender to prison and instead he fled. If he has in fact made it to Canada which is probably his best bet since it is closer then Mexico.

He will need to then try to get into an country which has no extradition treaty with the United States. But this case is getting so much attention that I would anticipate that U.S. Marshals have him in custody in two weeks time.
