At approximately 5:30pm my wife Jacklyn Kerensa who is also a associate editor was walking through the City Hall area when she noticed a large group of San Francisco Police and City Fire and Ambulances surrounding and cordoning off the entire City Hall and Civic Center Park area.

Apparently NBC 11 News was on scene and my wife Jacklyn approached law enforcement to inquire as to what was going on and was told that a security threat had been identified at City Hall possibly related to a explosive device or some other suspicious item and for precaution the City had called in all the available response it could.

So far the city is not providing any official statement as to what exactly occurred although Syndicated Elitist is the only site at all with any mention of this incident. I would imagine more information will be available through local news outlets such as NBC 11 and KRON with in the next few hours and as I get more information I will provide a update.
