Well I had a nice morning in Grants Pass, OR.... I met some "real" people and also was able to go out to breakfast with my family. Anyways, my family has guests over and they are watching a movie with another couple.
We had a excellent dinner of Teriyaki Chicken with Rice and Chicken Caesar Pasta and for beverages is beer and Bombay Sapphire gin drinks.
I am back in California now and so glad to be back... within a few hours of being home a few friends stopped by to check on me and get the "report" as to how my trip to Dallas, OR was.
Finally, this morning I got a hard copy of a lease agreement for my dwelling and I agreed to it as it was well within reason in my opinion. I was asked today whether I wanted to paintball and I told our coordinator that I did not because I need to work on some personal goals for a few weeks.
One of those goals is to increase my participation in church by double by going to college student Christian nights and also I plan to start consulting one of the pastors about my future as a family man.
In addition I need to get ready for crabbing season because I plan to do some unloading this season on the docks. I also need to begin doing some employment scouting in Hillsboro and Salem.
MySpace: Friend Updates
Posted by Benjamin Kerensa | 11/27/2007 10:41:00 PM | Technology | 0 comments »Well MySpace finally has launched "Friend Updates" which allows you to easily subscribe and keep track of all of your friends changes and this is kinda cool for those of you who have a lot of Friends and wanna keep track of what your friends are up to.
I am just puzzled as to why it takes MySpace so long to develop these new features because as a programmer myself I know small features don't take this long to code and especially not by a team of highly paid programmers.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Once again I am single... Anyways up until the other day I was in a serious relationship with a wonderful woman. Funny enough I did not break up with this woman and her reason for breaking up with me if you can call it that is because she would like me to date some more women to make sure that I am fully sure it is her that I want.
This is all new to me as I have never heard of a women asking her boyfriend to go date other women so immediately I assumed maybe it was a sugarcoated way of her telling me she didn't wanna be with me but she insists that if I still want her in a certain amount of time I shall not specify and that If I relocated to her locality and am doing good that I can have her fully.
So in a effort to try to understand the rationality and respect the wishes of a women whom I have a tremendous amount of feelings for I have already arranged two dates with two separate women upon my return back to California.
Mind you as it was originally explained I am not supposed to necessarily have sex yet I am supposed to consider myself single and pursue dating with other women.
So I have had a dozen offers from women who would either like to just have sex with me or are actually interested in a meaningful relationship so I called two of them and both were more than happy to go out on some dates with me.
Mind you I really did not wanna date any other women and actually prefer to just try to prove to Ariel that she is the one I want but she insists I date other women so I will comply. Further I do not understand how you can love and want a man and yet still ask him to date other women but she implies that this is a test to make sure that I am totally sure she is the one for me.
Anyways I figure I will definitely blog about this whole pseudo-dating adventureso long as whomever I date consents to my disclosure of said dates on the Internet. I asked Ariel if she minded if posted about this as to avoid receiving a large amount of messages asking why I am suddenly single so here is the explanation of what is going on and now nobody really has any reason to message me and ask.
I am still in the state of Oregon near Salem right now by the way..... I will head back to California late tomorrow night and will head down to Grants Pass, OR but I am not sure when I will exactly be back in California.
Feel free to leave me some comments on this interesting blog post!
Kindle is released and already sold out!!!
Posted by Benjamin Kerensa | 11/21/2007 03:04:00 PM | Technology | 0 comments »I never did decide to get a Sony Reader but when I heard about the Amazon Kindle I knew this was the eBook reader for me. Already the Kindle has sold out in just under six hours according to Engadget. I have a strong feeling that we will soon see these devices for sale on sites such as eBay and Craigslist for exorbitant prices.
Currently there are no available figures as to how many Kindle's have shipped so far but you can bet that when people begin receiving them that they will slowly but surely show up for sale online.
Jeff Bezos of Amazon has really taken the initiative in marketing this new product and I look forward to seeing some reviews on this product once more people are able to try it out.
If you are interested in reading more about the Kindle I suggest you visit Amazon's Official Kindle blog by clicking here.

Anyways check these videos out and stay tuned for some long posts later today sometime.
A reader of my Blog (Heather) has asked me how me and Ariel met and there have been a few other people who have asked and therefore I will provide response here.
Ariel and I met approximately a month and some days ago via MySpace and on the 2nd of this month she came down from Oregon where she lives and she stayed with me in California where I am residing temporarily and we had a five day visit together.
We have kept in regular contact via phone and instant message on a daily basis and as of tomorrow she will be meeting my family at Thanksgiving dinner in Coos Bay, OR. From there I plan to go up with her to her home and meet her family and while I am up there I will visit a friend in Portland and Corvallis and then also look at real estate in the area. If you need to get in touch with me when I am away simply e-mail me at contact@syndicatedelitist.com or call my voicemail (503) 946-3904 Ext. 477
I would like to personally thank all of my readers for you continued loyalty in reading my blog on a daily basis and sometimes even multiple times a day. I use analytics software which allows me to track how many visitors I get and where they come from.
Anyways I will have a few more posts today so stay tuned and don't forget to bookmark or subscribe to this blog.
Well I think I must have been bored but I decided to read Wikipedia's article on Women mostly because I am often confused by some women's behavior and I am trying to get a better understanding as to why women behave the way they do and why they carry themselves in certain manners.
I think that this all stemmed from a late night conversation I had with my good friend Josh we were having a open discussion with another friend of mine who's name is Mariah and we were explaining to Mariah that women often send mixed signals to men. A good example is women can send the wrong message to a man's brain simply by giving him a look or by touching him and the look and or touch could be completely innocent and without any intention but in the man's mind it is a signal that requires our reaction.
Josh and myself both insisted that women do not always analyze the end result of their actions although their intentions may be good in the end some of their handling of situations can lead to a even worse outcome. For instance a man can tell a woman to be honest and she will still generally go ahead and sugarcoat things and men do not like to have things sugarcoated we like things to be brought to use in a straight forward manner.
Anyways I have read several articles about women today and I think it was definitely time well spent although a lot of men could careless as to "What Women Want" and really do not give a care as to how to treat a woman but I on the other hand want to know as much as I can because the better educated I am about women the better I can interact with them in a professional and personal manner and since men are outnumbered by women on this planet it is a good skill to have.

I am a Instant Messaging addict and I'll be the first to admit it and lately I have been going back and forth between applications I use for Instant Messaging purposes.
If I am on the run or travelling I will use eBuddy.com for all of my Instant Messaging needs as they provide an web application which uses the least system resources and loads quickly and furthermore it supports just about every IM Network around. On the other hand I used Meebo for awhile and they do not yet support MySpaceIM and their product is very slow loading and uses a lot of memory.
When I am not using eBuddy I generally use the authentic or native application for each respective IM Network because I have found that even all around IM software's like Trillian do not offer full functionality on any said IM Network.
I really look forward to AOL Instant Messenger and Gtalk (Google's IM Product) bridging their two respective networks and I think when this occurs great things will follow. I think more and more people will abandon Yahoo! IM and MSN Messenger and will increase Google's overall market share of the Instant Messaging market.
As a former shareholder of Google I not only have to say that Google has provided stunning and excellent products but they truly listen to a large majority of what their product's users say and they effectively better their products while Microsoft and Yahoo tend to turn and deaf ear to users.
What I am working on right now...
Posted by Benjamin Kerensa | 11/20/2007 10:37:00 PM | Personal | 0 comments »Currently I have a few personal projects that I am working on in the web development sense of things. I am developing a professional art website for a very promising artist and have already had her logo's designed through a outsourced contractor that I acquired.
I will be doing the programming for her website and will do some minor graphic design I hope to have her website completed soon although lately I have been busy with my own affairs and I sort of pushed her site's development aside to handle my priorities. If you are interested in seeing here art you can click here and visit her MySpace profile.
I am also currently doing freelance FBML (Facebook Markup Language) development for a Facebook Applications site called Aquanda.com and I basically replaced a programmer who moved on to new projects and my duty is to continue to add onto the existing Aquanda Facebook application product line and develop new Facebook applications at my convenience.
FBML is very similar to programming in PHP which is very simple for me since I mastered PHP when I was 16 years old. I really like to do programming as a hobby and when I was younger I did develop few games and made some money when I sold them but nothing astronomical of course.
I never really wanted to get into programming as a profession simply because it has a high burn out rate and what I mean by this is programmers get stressed out as they do the bulk of the development of a website, software or service and so they are constantly under time constraints and they often do not stay at a job long.
Instead my career has been focused on Network and Systems Administration which is a laid back job and requires minimal effort if you know what you are doing.
Anyways I am always looking for new projects to do freelance and if you have something in mind feel free to send me an e-mail to bkerensa@syndicatedelitist.com
How to protect your MySpace account!
Posted by Benjamin Kerensa | 11/20/2007 10:08:00 PM | Technology | 0 comments »A number of my friends have contacted me lately seeking my assistance with their MySpace accounts because they asserted that their accounts were hacked and that unknown persons were accessing their account and sending messages and posting bulletins with weird MySpaceTV videos.
I assured them that their accounts were not in the technical sense "hacked" but were instead compromised due to any ActiveX script that people are placing in their profiles which allows people to compromise MySpace accounts view the ActiveX functionality.
This vulnerability that is affecting so many MySpace users is only capable of affecting users of the Internet Explorer web browser product line developed by Microsoft Corporation.
I have been using the Firefox browser developed by Mozilla for sometime now and not only does it run and work smoother it is much more secure.
I highly recommend everyone click here and start using Firefox today and I also suggest that everyone use a solid and well reviewed Anti-Virus software and some sort of Anti-Adaware/Spyware software. If more people followed that simple advice right there they would have less viruses and less Internet security trouble.
Traffic and Visitors
Posted by Benjamin Kerensa | 11/20/2007 05:48:00 PM | Site Updates | 0 comments »Well since the relaunch I have been averaging around 50-73 unique visits per hour which means basically that 50-73 new people that have never seen my blog before visit my blog each hour. I get around 12-39 loyal visitors meaning people who are repeat readers per hour.
I track visitors using Google Analytics and so far the majority of my visitors come from North America and specifically from California and Oregon although I receive traffic from a handful of other states within the United States and I also receive visitors to my blog from foreign countries such as United Arab Emirates, Germany, United Kingdom and Spain.
I will be increasing my efforts to get more readers by asking more friends to spread the word about the relaunch of my blog. I potentially would like to see 5-10 thousand unique visits a day which should not be hard to accomplish since last time this blog was up three years ago it got around that amount.
I just need to be diligent in my posting and continue to offer articles that people will enjoy reading and that they might enjoy telling others about or sharing with their friends. My ultimate goal is to make this blog so enjoyable that I can make some ad revenue from it again to cover maybe half of my living expenses that way I can have a even more comfortable lifestyle.
Anyways I am trying for two to three posts per day and I will have at least one more post today but Ill aim for three more so stay tuned and bookmark this blog and if you use a RSS/Atom Blog Feed Utility then go ahead and just subscribe.
Feel free to leave comments on any of my posts and feel free to e-mail me at bkerensa@syndicatedelitist.com if you have comments, questions, complaints or you have a advertising proposal.
Social Networking sites are becoming the hottest trend on the Internet right now several studies show that more and more people are using Social Networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook, Friendster and Tribe.net.
I frequent MySpace and Facebook and in the past I have used Friendster, Orkut and Tribe.net. I am usually a person who follows the trends and when those trends die I usually abandon them.
Lately, it seems MySpace is having more and more technical issues and this seems to be a huge concern of its user base and I do not feel that MySpace is effectively addressing these issues and even when the issues do get addressed it is never in a timely manner.
Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. acquired MySpace.com's parent company Intermix and that alone should tell most people that MySpace has the financial backing to solve any and all technical problems they encounter. I am not sure if it's MySpace's executives just being cheap and failing to hire enough talented programmers or what the problem is but I do know that MySpace is losing its market share and users are flocking to other options.
Facebook for instance has almost no technical problems and sits on a sound and stable environment and I have not encountered not one error on Facebook's site. On the other hand I encounter glitches on MySpace on a hourly if not daily basis and it typically takes MySpace days to fix these problems.
I personally have done programming for a profession so it is very irritating to see MySpace handle these issues they way they currently are. I could fix most glitches in a matter of a few hours and of course I do consider they have to test each fix in the code in a testing environment before they deploy the fix globally across their site but still I have done programming for online games from the ground up and deployed fixes many times and never have I failed to do it in a timely fashion.
Furthermore, MySpace fails to allow innovation in its features and offers no real practicable tools for developers to develop within their site. MySpace offers no realistic avenue to assess it's users needs or feature requests and because of this it is my strong opinion that without serious change MySpace will more increasingly lose users and eventually their advertisers will leave too.
I have a MySpace profile that is publically viewable and I also have a Facebook profile
both of which I check frequently as I use both as a medium to stay in touch with some old co-workers and friends and even some family.
Ultimately, there will be a a time when a lot of the Social Networking sites get acquire by the giants of the market and then it will be a head on battle to dominate this niche market. Venture capital funding in this market is increasing and there is a lot of hype coming from sites such as TechCrunch.
Well Thanksgiving is slowly creeping on me and I am spending today preparing for my Oregon Thanksgiving Trip. As the plans are right now I will be in Coos Bay, OR for Thanksgiving and will leave Coos Bay, OR on Thursday evening and head to Dallas, OR where I will stay until around Tuesday (27th of November).
From there I will most likely go and visit my Mother for the day and do some shopping and at which point I will begin a trek down the state of Oregon. Several of my blog readers have already offered me places to stay at their respective houses in various localities in Oregon. If I need to stay anywhere I will only stay through the night and leave out early in the morning and this would only be to avoid weather otherwise I will tough it out and push straight through the trek.
Upon my return to California there will be a "Welcome Back" celebration that my family and friends are arranging and I think that will be nice.
Lately, I am puzzled how women can say they are with you but in other mediums they describe themselves as "Single" and this has put me on caution status and if I were to purely accept the advice of my friends it would be to end said relationship but I have decided against that because I feel something there, Although on the other hand if their continues to be confusion on the other persons part perhaps I should accept said description of that persons availability as a sign as to how the person really feels especially since it takes under a minute to change said setting.
In any case if "all" goes well and accordingly then I will be looking at some property, employment and services in the Salem, OR area for a transition to to leave there in February. If all does not go well then I will most likely live in Portland or consider another Metropolitan area that suits all of my needs and wants.
The other night two of my friends one a man and the other a woman both said that there has to be honest, loyalty, trust and fairness if a relationship is to succeed and I fully agree with this shared opinion. I think that in a relationship if you cannot tell your significant other your true feelings that ultimately that relationship will suffer or fail.
One other discussion I had this week in a study group was how women are generally unable to properly express their feelings or at least this is the wide belief of a large majority of men. Some women contend that women do not have trouble expressing their feelings but instead it is little girls who have not matured and grown up who have this difficulty.
Anyways below is a map of my route for my trek including planned stops in order to see it in a large format simply click on the thumbnail.

Product Review: A-Key 3500
Posted by Benjamin Kerensa | 11/18/2007 06:42:00 PM | Product Reviews | 1 comments »
I was sent a Authenex A-Key 3500 Kit by Authenex, Inc.'s Marketing director who asked me to evaluate their product and compare it to existing product's on the market.
I found the A-Key to be very easy to deploy and use in a enterprise environment. I was able to test this product in my own office and in a academic setting across a college network and I also had a number of students try out the product.
I really feel that Authenex has developed a very useful product which exceeds in competition's offering since it offers the same features as it's competitors at a lower cost. Some of the competitor's that exist are Aladdin, eTrust, RSA and VeriSign all of which offer similar products at a much higher cost.
I personally tested a handful of the competition's products and all in all the features all matched up with Authenex's offerings and furthermore Authenex provided better product support.
One product I look forward to evaluating is the IronKey as it is the newest USB Token/Storage device on the market and so far the reviews I have read seem to be favorable. I am in talks with the manufacturer of IronKey about having them send me an evaluation unit.
Well in three days my family will come together from all over the west coast to celebrate Thanksgiving and to express thanks for various things.
I think that this Thanksgiving will be one of the best I have participated in just because it has been around three years since I celebrated any holiday's with my family plus I have the love of my life coming to meet my family.
I will be cutting and serving the Turkey this year which is a honor and a privilege as the oldest male in our immediate family. I look forward to my grandmother's excellent cooking and perhaps my mother will bake some pies which she is pretty skilled at.
After Thanksgiving I will take a small break from things and go North to the Salem, OR area and spend some time with my Love's friends and family and her wonderful children.
Anyways a poker game is about to start at my house and a lot of friends are joining us but I will not play in this game. Instead I wanna talk to my love and to develop some more interesting posts for SyndicatedElitist.com.
Stay tuned for more post's throughout the rest of the day! Oh and by the way go visit my old co-worker Chris's blog by clicking here.
Well I figured as a hardcore Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen) fan that I would get myself a copy of his book which is called "Touristic Guidings to Minor Nation of U.S. and A. and Touristic Guidings to Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan".
So I will be getting a copy of his book very shortly as any good fan would and until then I am just being seemingly amused by women. Anyways I have waited up over and hour and a half for someone who I expected to be home a lot earlier who said she wanted to talk to me but that seems not to be the case.
Anyways Thanksgiving is just a few days away and I look forward to it and hopefully someone special will be there to share it with me?
